Reprsentative Kurt Daudt proudly serves Minnesota House District 31A which includes precincts in Isanti, Anoka and Sherburne counties.
Kurt is currently the Minority Leader in the Minnesota House and serves the citizens on six committees: Rules and Legislative Administration, Commerce and Regulatory Reform, Higher Education Policy and Finance, Property and Local Tax Division, Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance, and Redistricting. Prior to his election to State Representative, Kurt served 6 years as an Isanti County Commissioner and was a Stanford Town Board Supervisor from 1999-2005.
He has been a champion of the taxpayers during his time in office. On the county board, he led the fight to solve a $2.2 million deficit without raising taxes. He brought those skills to St. Paul where he helped balance the state budget without raising taxes. Kurt’s signature legislation to protect the taxpayers from fraud and abuse was authoring EBT Card (Welfare) Reform, which prevented EBT cards from being used at casinos or for alcohol and tobacco.
Rep. Daudt cares about the future of our community. He resides on the same farm his grandparents homesteaded in Crown. When he is not working for the taxpayers in St. Paul, he can be found working on Project 24, a non-profit organization he helped found that builds orphanages in Kenya.
